The first managed City as a Service platform for urban infrastructure.

A Vast Hyperconnected Reality.
We envision a world far beyond IOT and Smart Cities where any physical matter may be reclassified as smart infrastructure, at once connected to the matrix. A near-future where the lines of distinction drawn between sensors, objects, smart dust, and the world around us, begin to blur and deteriorate. Such a vast hyper-connected reality will demand an operating system and managed service engineered to initialize, plan, manage and deploy virtually unlimited data points. A CaaS (City as a Service) managed service meets that demand. CaaS journeys far beyond traditional IaaS, to provide the capabilities for deployment and replication of smart community infrastructure. The service will operate via a distributed smart city operating system, once that is regulated by a system of checks-and-balances in the form of a community of independent peers.
A hyperscale architecture which provides for sustained periods of infrastructure growth.
CityPOD will deliver managed urban infrastructure as a service through deployable modules of virtual network, compute, storage and application components. Harnessing UrbOS (Urban Operating System), the CityPOD service will allow urban planners to immediately deploy, replicate, and manage entire “POD”s of hyper-connected infrastructure on-the-fly. This is achieved through a point-and-click virtual environment, then ultimately delivered to production, where changes to the core operations of that infrastructure at any given time may be achieved. Each ‘POD’ behaves as an individual element of a city, or as a city in and of itself – a design pattern or repeatable node able to be replicated, deployed, or conjoined over any distance.
CityPOD will provide a wide array of tools to manage a large, distributed infrastructure for entire cities or communities including real-time monitoring of an nearly infinite number of physical and virtual data points.
