Flushing.nyc is a dotNeighborhoods civic engagement portal and public access network.

The captive portal and street kiosk network provides real- time, actionable intelligence for community businesses, residents, municipalities, and government agencies. Based on NYC Open Data, businesses and shopkeepers may receive real-time alerts and insightful data regarding critical events in the neighborhood. A community kiosk network offers municipal free wireless services and direct access to news, mail, ATM banking, commerce, government, civic engagement tools, and other neighborhood empowering community resources.

Flushing.nyc is the Official Web Site of the city of Flushing New York. dotNeighborhoods was created by the Mayor’s Office of Technology and Innovation program to empower local nonprofit community groups to “develop new online hubs for civic engagement, online organizing, and information-sharing”.
